Standing room only opera. We bought standing room tickets (Euro 3.50) for "Der Fliegende Hollander" (i.e. The Flying Dutchman). Yes it was cheap for an opera - yeah, you got to stand throughout the non-stop 2 hr show. There are railings for you to lean on and on the railings are small screens for translation. If you have to go to the toilet, you can tie your scarf/handkerchief or any piece of clothing on the railing to reserve your place.

Vienna States Opera
Standing room only opera. We bought standing room tickets (Euro 3.50) for "Der Fliegende Hollander" (i.e. The Flying Dutchman).
